Back in October of 2012, producer (IMDB) Todd Cassetty started a management company with Scotty McCreery as his first client. Unfortunately, Cassetty now claims that Scotty never fulfilled his end of the bargain by actually signing the necessary paperwork and the deal went bust in April of this year.

Now Cassetty’s company, Cassetty Entertainment, has filed suit against Scotty, claiming that Scotty refuses to pay the company for services rendered.

“Celebrities should be required to pay their bills, just like anyone else,” the lawsuit, which was filed last week in Davidson County Chancery Court last week, starts out.

According to the suit, after Scotty made promises to sign with his company he never did and Cassetty was strung along for months. Cassetty also claims that Scotty offered him a 15% cut of what he made, but Judy, the American Idol champ’s mom, stepped in and decreased the offer to a measly 2%.

Cassetty is seeking a monetary judgment for “actual, consequential and punitive damages.”
